Today and Tonight

A few thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon into this evening near and south of a Fairbury to Nebraska City to Red Oak line. There is a small chance for a storm or two to produce severe winds or hail. There is a slight chance for additional thunderstorm development late tonight. If storms develop, they may produce large hail.

Wednesday through Monday

Several rounds of rain and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday through Thursday night. While most will be non-severe, there is some potential for a few severe storms over southern Nebraska and Iowa. There is also a chance for locally heavy rainfall greater than two inches, but the overall flood threat is low. Sunday into Monday will feature additional chances for strong to severe thunderstorms.
